Is Greece a tax heaven? March 20, 2009

According to two recent articles from the daily newspaper “Kathimerini” Greece appears to be a tax heaven where tax evasion is prevalent and the major tax burden falls on wage earners and retirees. In contrast, about 70% of business owners declare to tax authorities income that is less than the no-tax limit (at 10000 euros)!
